How Convergence is able to ingest your data through our CDK/Fortellis Pipeline
Convergence is an approved CDK partner, providing the necessary authorization to directly access a dealer's DMS and directly ingest their transactional data. Using the application, "Pipelines", which can be located here on the Fortellis Marketplace, the process is more seamless than ever to share your transactional information securely.
What Type of Data Can We Receive?
During our initial setup, Convergence starts with receiving a historical file for both Sales records and Closed Repair Orders for the past 5 years. At the client's request, we can continuously receive a daily feed containing the most recent transactions.
How Do You Store My Transactional Data?
As the security for sharing and storing data becomes more front and center, Convergence maintains a level of security that complies with the most up-to-date standards and tools offered on the market. As a certified CDK/Fortellis partner, your transactional data is shared and encrypted securely via Fortellis' APIs. Once it has been received by Convergence, it is securely stored inside of a limited-access database hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Upon any sort of client cancelation request or if no longer needed under the most recent Scope of Work (SOW), Convergence will wipe all transactional data belonging to the dealership from its systems. Any data that is requested by Convergence is at the determination of the most recently signed SOW and authorized by the client before-hand.
What Do You Use My Transactional Data For?
Convergence provides multiple services that would require the need for a dealership's transactional data. The signed SOW will determine what we collect and how we use it. Typically, a transactional data pull request will derive from an SOW that has been signed for fulfilling a text/email campaign or pertaining to our attribution services.
What Are The Steps For Onboarding?
- An authorized user at the dealership goes to fortellis.io and clicks marketplace
- Then use the search dropdown to search for your app Pipelines
- Click on the app
- Subscribe or activate
- Then follow the prompts
- Select their dealership
- Click the data share agreement and any other additional documents.
